Enjoy the warmth of the sun and be with silence.

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.

When we attain a certain age, we tend to realize that our lives are governed by certain cosmic powers.
The power of nature and the mystic silence attached to it.
Feeling the warmth of the sun in this season along with a silence of the universe, is a feeling beyond words. The silence of the night and the warmth of the day makes us feel and believe in the power of this season.
Observing the beauty of the sun and taking it's energy into your deeper self makes you refreshed and energized from within.

The depth of one self gets an ignited energy with a potent silence within one's own self.
The existence of the human lives looks so small and insignificant in front of the energy and power of the universe, which infact is the real governing body of this whole world.
So, let us wrap ourselves with the warmth of the sun and just enjoy our inner silence.

Bid goodbye to this year with thanks giving and prayers

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.

Life is like a creative craft and we have to be a good craftsman to make the best of everything that has been granted to us in this life.
A full year is passing by from everyone's life with it's own share of ups and downs.
Many of us must be relishing and cherishing the beautiful memories of the year which is paving way for a new year.
Some must have suffered lots of pain and despair looking forward to a new hope of a much brighter and a better day.
Every human life has a new story with both tears and joys.
Every human being has different expectations with the future which is in-store for him or her.

Every eye hopes to see a much pleasurable side of the coming year with only tears of joy rolling down their cheeks.
Before the dawn of this year let us make some special prayers.
The prayers can be for oneself, for our loved ones or for the whole humanity, but surely prayers for this life have to be made.
A thanks giving to have blessed us with this precious and a valuable life of being a human being.
Prayers have powers to turn around things for the better with thanks giving as a gratitude of the acknowledgement of the precious time we have been granted every day and night of our life in a year.
So let us bid goodbye to this year with thanks giving and prayers for bringing more joy, peace and prosperity to the world we live in.

Year End Countdown 2018...

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.

All of us start the beginning of a new year with several promises which we make to ourselves.
We make a list of several things which we plan to finish till the end of the year.
We make sure that all the work which we think of completing before the rise of the new sun at the beginning of a new year is completed, but in reality this never happens.
Majority of the people are unable to finish the promised work and tend to carry the same burden of promises and unfinished work on to the next year.

They make a list of several excuses for being not so efficient in the year gone by and suddenly make a pledge to fulfill all the promises and wishes in the coming year.
This cycle goes on and on year after year and the deadline keeps shifting from one year to another year.
Why wait for another year to pass by without completing our work and fullfilling all the said and unsaid promises we make to ourselves.
Let us make up our mind and try to achieve our goal till the end of this year.
It shall relieve us of the burden to carry the load again over to the next year.
Let us just pull up our socks and switch on the fast- mode button, so that we go refreshed and rebooted in the coming year with the aim to achieve new heights of success and promises which shall be fullfilled by us.
The target is not unachievable. Our effort and determination in the last few days of this year can even make the clock start with the countdown of passing by of this wonderful year.

Humanity and Human Rights

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.

(Poster made by OM Kumar at 7 years of age. His Interpretation of Human Rights.)

Respecting and loving all humanity should be our dictum of life. Treating every individual as an equal being and being humane in our thoughts and actions should be adopted by us.
Every human has equal rights. Human rights are our basic rights or freedom.
Human rights include our right to live, our right to health, education, freedom of speech and thoughts.
Every human being has a right also enjoy his own human rights and we have to regard and respect that.

(My idea of Human Rights. World really needs good people around it. Let us spread happiness rather than tears. Humanity First...)

We have to adopt a humane approach towards maintaining peace and harmony in the society where every individual could be free to enjoy their individual human rights.
On this Human Rights Day which is celebrated world wide on the 10th of every December, let us all pledge to save and protect humanity.
We all are equal in the eyes of the Almighty, so why do we then as individuals create differences.
We are civilised human beings who are developing very fast for more growth.
But somewhere in this race, we lack that basic human approach. We are humans first before being anything else.
Nelson Mandela the great human right activist once said ,"To deny people their human rights is to challenge their very humanity".
So let us make a promise to ourselves that humanity should always be above our own selfish interests.
World shall become even more beautiful where every human being shall be treated equal in dignity and rights.

From the eyes of the Jury- aceTECH 2018

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.

(Ar.Mohit Kumar as an eminent Jury member at the prestigious Architectural Construction Engineering (ACE) Tech Exhibition Design Wall 2018.)

Amalgamation of Architecture, Construction and Engineering together shaped into ACE Tech.
Technology meeting architectural designs and vice versa.
Architecture combined with high quality of construction and latest engineering inputs and technological innovations gives a beautiful shape to the designing of any creation.
The young, enthusiastic and energetic team at the ACE Tech Event ensures that the combination of the fine architectural brains along with innovative products for building a great piece of design is very well bought together under one roof.

The Make-In-India concept is very well executed and implemented by the leading brands of India who are working towards attaining a sustainable environment to live and breathe in.
Expert advice of eminent jury members selected at the ACE Tech Event is well understood and taken towards restructuring a new India. A new India, with smart technology, beautiful designs, stylish looks, that is comfortable and affordable to the people who value the worth of good living.
Let us keep innovating in ideas and work for a better environment by being more 'Humane' in the way we use materials and technology.
Very beautifully and rightly said by Ar.Mohit Kumar,
"Mankind shapes Habitats and Habitats shape Mankind''.

Times Litfest-The Magic of 'What'?

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.

An inspiring and an interactive session with the World's leading body language experts Allan Pease and Barbara Pease at the recently concluded Times Litfest in the capital was mind boggling.
It highlighted the question as to ask for 'What' rather than thinking of 'How'?
The experiences they shared were based on their analysis that we are always involved in the first part of 'How'?
Thinking too much about 'How' leaves us sometimes disappointed and disillusioned in life.
It takes us back to square one where we started.
So instead of thinking about 'How', let us shift our focus to 'What'.
'What 'gives us an idea and a direction to move ahead in life.

(OM Kumar with Allan Pease and Barbara Pease.)

'What' gives us chance to experiment and work towards achieving our dreams.
Our brain is a storage house of several possibilities.
It is a direction giver which should always be directed by the question of 'What'.
The goals can shift with time but the analytical observation of 'What' can do wonders in life.
It is good to shift our focus for sometime to see and observe the difference it brings to our life.
May be in reality 'What' brings new positivity and wonders in our life.
The session was so beautiful and became a source for inspiring  us to achieve in reality through focus and determined approach towards 'What'.

'If you can draw it, I can make it'.

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.

Some words are really very simple to listen to or read, but they have an in-depth hidden inspiration which can motivate oneself to achieve even the impossible.
Recently, I attended a lecture by one of the renowned architects of the South Asian region of the world, where he shared his beautifully designed architectural works that bought several laurels to him. As he shared the inspiration behind the unique creations, I was awestruck.
One of the persons he had hired for making one of his projects was an expert at his art.
He said to the Architect' If you can draw it, I can make it'.

Such simple words which sound positive and optimistic. The inspiration further gained weight when one came to know that the work which was crafted so well by that 'optimistic expert ', had suffered an accident where he had lost his one eye and one hand which left him with a physical disability but could not break his mental strength and optimism to take his expertise to another level.
That level where he broke the boundaries of the impossible and made it practically possible.
The strength and power of his positive approch towards life is unmatchable.
No excuses, no laid back attitude, no complaints and no disappointments.
Only strength to go ahead with the power of perfection and a thankful attitude for what is left, without any regrets.
Surely, we all have to be thankful for what we have and work towards designing the best of our lives.
A life which could inspire others and becomes worth living.

Happy Children's Day

Blog by- Dr. Jaya Kumar.

Children are genuinely true from heart. A clear heart and a fertile mind are two qualities inherent to Children.
They have a mind which is always inquisitive. Their mind has many doubts and questions which sometimes remain unanswered.
Children know that they have to walk on a true path but are many times clueless about the direction to go to.
The direction in which they shall be moving towards the path of success and happiness.
Children have a fertile mind but many a times that fertile mind shifts its focus.
As guardians of their life, it is our utmost duty as parents to provide proper guidance and counselling to our children.

Many a times we too need to become a child to understand their psychology and to gain their trust and faith.
Children are the future of any nation. Children are our real asset of life.
They are the reason for our happiness and joy.
To give them a beautiful life ahead we have to hold their hands and educate them about life with a grounded upbringing.
Nurturing them with affection and love. Sharing of our life experiences and giving joyful caring.
Let us inculcate beautiful values and ethos in them so that when they grow up they should make our country proud.
Wishing all beautiful souls, our loving Children, a very Happy Children's Day.

Happy Chhath-Puja to all

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.

Morning salutation to the Sun brings a new energy in our body and enlightens our soul.
Worshipping the Sun early in the morning is an ancient Hindu Vedic ritual followed and practised by many.
The festival of Chhath-Puja is also dedicated to the Sun God and 'Chhathi Maiyya' known as Usha in the Vedas.
Usha is the first light of day and believed to be the beloved wife of the Sun God.
Chhath-Puja is popularly celebrated in the regions and by the people of Bihar,

Jharkhand and Eastern Uttarpradesh. It is also celebrated in different countries like Nepal, Mauritius, Fiji and many more.
It is a festival to thank the natural power of the Sun for bestowing its blessings on Earth with a request to fullfill our wishes.
Chhath-Puja is observed for four days which is marked by offering the prayers to the Sun God, fasting and taking holy dips.
Scientifically too, it is very beneficial for the human body as it helps to get rid of toxicity.
Exposing one's body to the sun provides natural vitamin D and improves the overall functioning of the human body.
Sun worship is believed to cure many diseases and helps ensure longivity of life.
Sun is energy and a life force which is worshipped to promote the well-being of humanity and bring in prosperity and progress.

Karvachauth is the festival of togetherness and happiness

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.
Karva-Chauth a festival to re-inforce the bond between two beautiful souls for strengthening mutual love and affection.

Soul-mates coming together year after year and remembering the loving relation and understanding they share with each other.

Many stories are remembered with the purpose of celebrating this festival.

It is an age-old tradition to celebrate the Karva-Chauth by married women.

It is the day of prayers and blessings for long life of their beloved husbands.

It is also a day to relive the beauty and charm of being a young bride forever.

Sitting, laughing, chatting and lovingly having the morning traditional feast with their mothers-in- law brings joy to everyone.
Human body also needs a break to refresh itself. So, it becomes a day for women to refresh their bodies and to refill it with energy and charismatic charm for the coming festive season.

Now-a-days with all the professional commitments and personal busy schedule, even couples do not get time to share the sweetness and emotions of life together.

Karva-Chauth gives a golden opportunity for strengthening the bond under the 'Holy Moon' with smiles and soulful golden silence.

Appreciating, respecting and thanking each other to be together in every thick and thin of life.

Taking a vow and promising together to grow together in maturity and mutual understanding.
Adjustments, compromise, ups and downs, troubles and tribulations, tears and joys and pain and pleasure all are part and parcel of any human relation.

It is our outlook, approach, understanding and value we give to each relationship.

The beauty of a  journey of this soulful relation is dependant on trust, care, support and a life long true commitment to enjoy and cherish the beauty of this pure and selfless relation of souls coming together forever.

Making every moment of married life as blissful remembrance of togetherness.

Have A Blessed Sharad Purnima

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.

SHARAD PURNIMA' according to Hindu mythology is a very auspicious day to perform various religious rituals wholeheartedly.
It is believed that on this day, 'Lord Krishna' along with the Gopis performed the 'Maha-Raslilla', a dance of the Divine.

It is believed that on this day the 'Moon Beams', the rays of the beautiful Moon have special therapeutic healing powers.
Following this belief, the sweet-rice 'kheer' dish is made on this day. The procedure to make it therapeutic is by keeping it under the moonlight, whole night.
Then early in the morning, the 'Therapeutic Holy Kheer' is eaten with full trust and the faith of it being a 'Blessed Kheer'.

On this day the moon is closer to the earth and therefore it's beam has cosmic powers which come directly to our mother earth.
Hindu epics also believe that on this day Goddess Lakshmi takes a round of the whole earth and blesses all.
"Cleanliness is next to Godliness '.
A clean environment, a clean body, a pure heart and a clear soul even makes God happy is a universal belief and the truth.
Let us celebrate every festival with its full fervour and flavour.
In India, we have many festivals to enjoy and celebrate.
The purpose behind celebrating every festival should be to develop a loving bond among each other.

We should feel blessed and fortunate to be born in this country where we have values, faith, ethics, morals and a beautiful culture which we have to maintain and inculcate in our coming generations.
As a true human being our first religion should be belief in humanity and to understand the in-depth purpose and the logical reason behind celebrating every festival.
Let us spread happiness far and wide this festive season.

Happy Vijayadashmi

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.

Ram, the Lord of Sincerity.
Ram, the God of Majesty. Ram, the Almighty whose existence is his beloved Siya. It is with Janaki only that he becomes complete.
Sita has been described an ultimate in grace and aura.
She is an epitome of a beloved wife.
She is care, affection and so precious.
She is delicate , simple and sweet at times and is head strong against the  Raavana at the other times.
Infact, the great epic of Ramyana teaches us a lot.
The revered epic is a life lesson in itself. The story of the Great Siya Ram and their ups and downs in life.
Their bonding and betrayal in life. The friends and enemies they meet in life.
The love and respect of Lord Hanuman for Sri Ram. The bond between the loving brothers Lord Ram and Lakshman.

In fact every incident in the life of Lord Ram is a lesson in itself for everyone to learn from.
Dussehra is the day and time to rethink about this great epic.
To do the analysis of the real teachings given through this holy epic.
Infact every festival and such great writing has so much more to it.
To learn and to grow. To celebrate every occasion surely gives happiness but to understand the philosophy behind it enlightens us.
The festivals then become more relevant to our lives.

'Kota' Rajasthan- A Unique Experience

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.

(All the photographs in this blog are clicked by me and my family and are from my personal collection).

Hello everyone..Hope all my readers are doing great since the last time I wrote my blog.
It's been a little long gap to my writing but surely comes with a new, enhanced and explored knowledge. Travelling to distant and far off places makes you more aware of the practical knowledge one gains while observing the minutest of details.
The best part to travel in India is that you get an opportunity to know our own motherland, our country India much better.
I must admit that our India is really Incredible with the places which are so beautiful that the beauty cannot be described in a few words.
Nature has blessed our land with vast landscapes, silence of big lakes, gushing water in large rivers, thick-dence green belts, forest  reserves, magestic waterfalls and  unforgettable locations. Actually, exploring India is always a surprise package.

Many a times it feels like one is living so many lives within one life.
Let me take you to the land of the erstwhile Royalty, Rajasthan. A visit to the city of Kota in Rajasthan. An educational hub of India. In this educational city one shall find coaching centres which are even bigger than some corporate houses.
Countless hostels looking like residential complexes and a huge number of students coming and joining various coaching institutes with many dreams in their eyes for a bright future.
The magnificent Kishore Sagar Lake surrounded  with a mini Marine Drive shall surely remind you of Mumbai with a larger similar feature. Further in it is the Seven Wonders Park , which has the replicas of the seven wonders of the world. It is really amazing to see the wonders in a scaled down version.
Kota is one such place which has a Thermal Plant, Nuclear Plant and a  Hydro-electrical Power plant with dams, reserviours and barrages.
The city has several forts to its credit, which have a unique historical background to them.
The huge waterfalls at the Gapernath temple and the thick green dense forest area of the Gapernath valley is spread like a thick green carpet covered with rain drops.
Honestly it felt like Rajasthan looking more like a Greensthan. Our eyes could only see and enjoy the vast greenery spread all around.
The big rocky mountains and gorges are covered with natural flora and streams of waterfalls.

Incredible natural beauty!!! Kota is also known and famous for its 'Kota Kachori'.
The freshness of its pulses and spices, with a thick and crisp layer to the Kachori which melts in your mouth. A taste to remember all through your life.
Another unique fact which I noticed was that the city at time of the 'Ganapati Puja' , transforms into a 'Mini Mumbai' known for celebrating the Ganapati festival at a large scale.
One can see well decorated idols of Lord Ganesha with all the fun and festivity all around.
Much can be written about the mouth watering 'Rajathani Thali' with good power, nutrition and is served with lots of love and pride as a local cuisine.
Thank you to all the wonderful loving people of Kota for the nice hospitality and warm behaviour, which made our trip even more memorable and the place felt like a second home.

HAPPY GANESH CHATURTHI

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.

Public procession with music and groups chanting mantras. Lights, sounds, festival and fervour all around with
Chanting of the beautiful name of 'Ganapati Bappa' resounding everywhere.
Beautifully decorated idols of the Lord of Arts and Science and the God of Wisdom 'Ganesha'.

The auspicious occasion of 'Ganesh Chaturthi' is being celebrated with full colours and reverence.

This is a ten day Hindu festival celebrated to honour the ELEPHANT-headed God Ganesha's Birthday.

'Ganesha' is the younger son of Lord Shiva and Ma Parvati.
At the beginning of this festival, both Parvati and Shiva are worshipped by all for their blessings.
Shiva, the Lord of Power. Shiva, the God of Majesty.

Shiva, the Almighty whose existence is because of his beloved Parvati. It is with her Shakti that He becomes the epitome of power.

Likewise in our lives, with your loved one on your side, your inherent inner powers and strengths too can be realised beautifully. The odds and the evils of our lives can also be fought if the pillar of our life is with us.
'Ganapati or Vinayaka' as he is referred to by his devotees is also known by 108 other names. This festival is marked by beginning with installation of an idol of Lord Ganesha which includes chanting of Vedic Hymns from Hindu Texts. The festival ends with the immersion of the idol of the Lord in a water body.
This is done with a hope that our Lord shall be happy with our special treatment that we met to Him and He shall bestow His blessings on us.

This majestic festival makes us realise many things. It makes us realise the VALUE OF OUR CHILDREN WHO TOO HAVE AN INTELLECTUAL BEND OF MIND FOR WHICH THEY DESERVE OUR SPECIAL RESPECT....

This festival makes us VALUE THE PURIFICATION POWERS OF WATER TOO AND THAT IT IS PRECIOUS... NOT TO BE WASTED... NOT EVEN A SINGLE DROP...

It teaches us to respect OUR LIFE PARTNER REALISING THAT THE
UPS AND DOWNS ARE A PART AND PARCEL OF LIFE , BUT RESPECT AND UNDERSTANDING WITH YOUR SOUL-MATE IS VERY IMPORTANT...

Lastly, this festival also teaches us a lesson for life that ONE DECISION SOMETIMES TAKEN IN HASTE CAN ALSO EFFECT SOMEONE'S LIFE FOREVER...

PARVATI IS SHAKTI AND SHE DEMANDED RESPECT FOR HER SON 'GANESHA', FROM THE POWERFUL LORD SHIVA..

LET US ASK LORD SHIVA WITH HIS SHAKTI TO ALWAYS KEEP HIS LOVING HANDS OVER US SO THAT OUR LIFE TOO REMAINS BLISSFUL FROM THE BEGINNING TILL THE END...

WISHING A VERY HAPPY 'GANESH CHATURTHI' WITH LOTS OF SWEETNESS AND ENLIGHTENMENT FOR ALL.

Happy Teacher's Day

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.

Education gives you confidence. It makes you aware and alert about various happenings which are taking place around the world.
Education keeps a person updated else one shall become outdated very fast.
Education provides us the required information for keeping pace with the world.
Being a part of a civilised society, education helps in further development of the human civilisation.
It enhances our mental growth. It gives a liberal approach to our thinking and flexibility to our thoughts.
Education is not just literacy but is our growth and development.
Education is also value based and is not just confined to marks and degrees one gets from institutions.

Education is how we lead and live life and if we pass the life examination we shall then be considered educated.
Believing and following our culture, traditions and values is education.
Following all our constitutional duties is education. Being a good human and believing in humanity is education.
LET ALL OF US VALUE EDUCATION AND ALL THE EDUCATORS IN OUR LIVES...

To my respected teacher,
Who made my life bright,
You gave me the direction,
Which was absolutely right.
You enlightened me about life,
That it shall be tough,
But asked me to lead it with a smile,
Even when it gets rough,
You rightly told me money is not as important,
Just focus on growth, and our goal shall not be distant.
You can be a teacher in any field you desire,
But do it with passion, and a lot of fire.
Prove your education with knowledge and zeal,
Most of the issues in this world are such,
Only good teachers can heal.

( My Respected Father-in-law Shri Prem Sagar, Former Director, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India being awarded as President Scout by Dr.S.Radhakrishnan,the then President Of India at Rashtrapati Bhawan in 1964.)

Teacher's Day is celebrated as a mark of respect to the former President Dr.S.Radhakrishnan on his Birth Anniversary.

Wishes to all teachers on this Teacher's Day..Our True Educators.
