BLOG-

Hello everyone. I am very excited. I and my family are going for a trip to the popular hill-station Manali. We are now boarding the Volvo bus by Himachal Tourism from New Delhi to our destination.

In Manali:

‘Good morning’. Our overnight Volvo bus journey was very comfortable. We are now at the Manali bus stand. We like to explore our incredible India by foot as well and therefore we shall be walking from the bus stand to our hotel.

On the way, we saw and explored many things:

Wow! The majesty of the river Beas is marvellous. We sometimes forget to cherish the beauty of nature. As we are moving, we can see the clouds becoming darker and darker and it has started drizzling too. How beautiful our incredible India is. Now we have reached the local fruit market and the delicious fruits of the hills have started adding flavour to the journey. We can smell the nice aroma of freshly cut pine logs also as we cross a timber sawing area.

Reached hotel:

After seeing and exploring many things on the way, we have finally reached our hotel.
Cherishing the beauty:
After exploring many things during the day, it is now rest time. Since we like to see the beauty of nature at all times, we therefore are cherishing the beauty of nature from our balcony. We are at Prini, at a height on the outskirts of Manali from where we can see the whole city from our balcony. Manali is a big valley with many things to explore and amazing views.

Next day:

Good morning. We are having our breakfast and are relishing the beauty of our incredible India’s natural beauty. As a responsible citizen of our country and a responsible tourist it should be our utmost duty to appreciate the beauty of our country. Keeping this in mind, we always try to value and enjoy the beauty of the place wherever we go.

Planning To Explore:

We are planning to explore the Hadimba temple, Ghatochgach temple, Manali Museum, Manali Mall Road and the Van Vihar.

Now we are going to see the Hadimba temple:

Now we are walking towards the Hadimba temple. We are now in the Hadimba temple area. Hadimba was the wife of Bheem (Bheem of Mahabharata). Hadimba temple’s other popular
attraction we see is the locally bred hare. These hare are very big and look like stuffed toys. They are very cute, soft and beautiful. This area is surrounded by tall pine trees.

In the Ghatochgach temple:

Ghatochgach was the son of Hadimba and Bheem. Now we are in the surroundings of the Ghatochgach temple. We see many Yaks here. They look very ferocious but they do not hurt. Children like me can also pat them and ride them.

In Manali Museum:

We are now in the Manali Museum. We can see many photographs about Himachal Pradesh’s local culture and heritage. There are different types of models of historic local houses. Here is a small room which has a local kitchen. It is wonderful to see our history. The kitchen has a Chullah and different types of utensils. On display are the Himachali topi, local woollen jackets, sweaters and shawls. We see many local instruments too. There is a small room in which a weaving machine is kept. Local artisans of Manali use the same type of weaving machine. There is also a local weighing method displayed, called the Taraju.

On the Manali Mall Road:

Wow, the Manali Mall Road is spectacular with options of mouth-watering food. We are enjoying cuisines starting from Chat-Papdi to the local Himachali Thali. The irresistible six-in-one ice-cream is really amazing and delicious. This road is very nice as it has options of many cuisines. Manali Mall Road’s most famous things are hot momos, six-in-one ice-cream, Thupka (Gyathuk) and Chat-Papdi. We also saw traditional Buddhist monks and they met us very lovingly. We fully enjoyed the fabulous Manali mall road.

In the Van Vihar:

We are now in the jungles of Manali. This is called the Van Vihar. I love and fully enjoy the jungles. Pine trees are very beautiful in Van Vihar. There is also a paddle-boat area for everyone to enjoy. Through the Van Vihar, I and my parents went near the Beas river also. The Van Vihar also had interesting birds. We observed the birds carefully and some of them very colourful and unique. We spotted some monkeys too. The time spent here was amazing. It is now getting darker as evening sets in.

Going back to the Hotel:

After exploring the Manali city, we are going back to our hotel. Our today’s activity of exploring the Manali city was great. On way back, we have to cross three hills to reach our hotel. It is far but for us it is a good exercise and fun because we are on a holiday and walking is good for everyone.

Next Day- Last Day:

Good Morning. It is our last day and today we have to go back to Delhi. We have had our breakfast and we are in our room’s balcony, enjoying the snow-capped Himalayan peaks. Shortly we shall pack our bags to reach the bus stand well on time. Time is very valuable and
precious. We missed going to the other popular places around Manali, like the Rohtang Pass, Manikaran and Solang Valley. This was due to short duration but it was an incredible trip. I requested my parents to surely make another trip to Manali so that we could explore more. They agreed smilingly and I felt very happy.

In The Himachal Tourism’s Volvo Bus:

Now we are in the bus going back to Delhi.
Bye Manali, we shall see you again.

IT WAS AN INCREDIBLE COUNTRY’S INCREDIBLE TRIP THROUGH MY EYES.
