A TRUE TRIBUTE......

Today I again wish to share a story which is based on my personal experiences, thoughts and observations. This story is in remembrance of someone very strong. What makes it touching is that, sometimes,  inspiring and beautiful humans leave this earth too early. I am sure it would also touch your heart. We all meet some special humans in our life who continue to get our true regards even when they are no more. They may be physically not present but their strength touches our heart forever.
Story for today:
"A True Tribute".
Neha, our protagonist, as you know, is always happy in other people's happiness and understands the true value of life. She truly feels someone's pain as well.
Neha is now happily married to Sohit. She really loves and respects all her  new relations that came into her life after marriage.
Everything was going on in her life like a beautiful dream. But, one day, she heard a sad news. One of
Sohit's loving maternal aunt,  Mala who was very happy for both of them and looked beautiful in their marriage, was suffering from something life-threatening. In fact, she was suffering for being at the last stage  of a deadly disease, CANCER. She and everyone had come to know about it only a few days back. Everything was shattered with this news.
She had only a few days in hand to see this beautiful world.
How can this be possible? She is such a nice lady, Neha thought.
She was not even that old that one could feel she had lived most of her life. Why did then the life take a big turn for her?, Neha kept thinking.
As they came to know about this, Sohit, Neha and their mother decided to go and meet Mala at her house  and to be with her and comfort her on this unfortunate news about her health. Mala on the other hand was normal and fine but for some little signs of the problem in her that started showing on her.
So, let us go and spend a few days with Mala to give her happiness, everyone thought.
They packed their bags and were ready to meet her, maybe for last time in their lives.
Mala lived in a different city with her family.
They all set-off on the journey to meet her. On the way and till they reached her house, Sohit was sharing his beautiful childhood memories with Mala. He had spent wonderful time with her and her family. Neha could feel the love they all shared. She was constantly thinking that when we as humans never know what shall happen to us the next moment, so why then, we still we keep our false egos with us all the time? Why do we never give a thought that we might be hurting someone's true sentiments?
Why don't we change?
The car finally reached its destination and stopped. "Her house has come" Sohit said.
Neha looked at the mirror to check herself. Her face should look happy.
After all this was her first visit to aunt Mala's place.
Sohit's cousins and Mala's husband were waiting to receive them with a happy smiling face.
"So brave of them to look like that even after being in the situation the family is in", Neha thought.
Then, suddenly a strong but loving voice came from inside the house.
"All of you come inside, I am so happy to see you."
This voice was of Sohit's aunt, Mala.
Neha and Sohit paid their regards to her as they moved inside the house. Her face was still glowing and was very happy to see her dear Sohit with his wife Neha.
She had really loved Sohit since his childhood days, infact since he was born. She knew about all his likes and dislikes.
Everyone was in a joyful mood on meeting each other and were laughing and smiling as they settled.
Everything looked normal.
Mala came out wearing a scarf. She was going through the painful chemotherapy sessions. The impact of which was that she had lost a lot of her hair.
But she asked smilingly," Isn't your aunt looking good with new hair style?"
Neha looked at her. The respect and regard for Mala had increased manifold in the eyes of Neha.
What a wonderful evening followed, only laughter and joy all around. Not even a  mention of the pain and the suffering the family, especially Mala, had been going through.
She was a strong lady and must be suffering, but she never showed it. Not even to her kids.
After a delicious dinner together,  everyone wished a good night to each other and retired to bed.
Come the next morning.
Neha going by her habit, woke up early. Like a dedicated daughter-in-law, she went to the kitchen to see if anyone required any help.
Sohit's cousins and sisters-in-law and everyone were so nice and warm.
She was feeling as if she had known all of them for a long time.
Then as she was entering the kitchen, she saw Mala standing and preparing something on the cooking counter.
Neha greeted her and asked her where were her sisters-in-law. Mala lovingly replied to her that since both of them work so hard all day, so let them sleep. "If they get up, then they shall ask me to go and take rest. They shall insist that my health and rest are more important at that point.
But I want to make Sohit's favourite dish for him with my own hands." Mala said.
Neha requested," You must take rest. We all will manage everything. You can make your desired and Sohit's favourite dish in the next time when we shall come to visit you. Your health is more important at the moment."
Mala's reply gave goosebumps to Neha.
Tears started rolling down her eyes. She was deeply touched by her reply. At that moment she became Neha's 'Iron Lady'. She inspired Neha to put full passion in everything one does.
In spite of the pain or suffering around oneself, one can still get and maintain one's internal power.
We should live to lead this life lovingly till our last breath. We should value whatever we have and live every moment to the fullest.
We always have time to pay back love to all those who have always loved and respected us dearly.
We always have time to understand the value of true relationships.
Let us not wait to die, but live every moment till you are alive.
Mala said very gently but convincingly, "Allow me to make my Sohit's favorite dishes. YOU AND ME BOTH KNOW THAT THE NEXT TIME WHEN YOU COME HERE YOUR AUNT MALA WILL NOT BE ALIVE ANYMORE.
YOU ALL WILL COME BUT TO PAY TRIBUTE TO ME AND SHALL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET ME.
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO EAT WHAT I COOK BY MY OWN HANDS, BUT TO DEPART ME FROM THIS WORLD."

TEARS AND DEEP SILENCE FOLLOWED......

SHE TOUCHED MY HEART FOREVER.......

A FEW DAYS AFTER THIS MEETING AND CONVERSATION , DEAR MALA DEPARTED FROM THIS WORLD FOR HER HEAVENLY ABODE......
