Happy Lohri, Makarsakranti and Pongal

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar

A new year begins with a beginning of new hopes and aspirations. It is the starting of celebration times in the form of various festivals.
The whole nation swings in a mood of joy and festivity with a bonding of togetherness.
The fire God is worshipped as the festival of Lohri arrives.
It teaches us to put all our ego and jealously away in the fire and emerge out as pure hearted in our lives.

Though many folk tales are associated with every festival, but the moral is always to be happy and satisfied under all circumstances.
To enjoy and live life as it comes. To live life as a brave heart and to adopt a humble, a respectful and a loving attitude towards all.

The festivals of Pongal and Makar Sankaranti too teach us to adopt a new thinking and a new approach in our lives. Cleanliness of homes and adopting a clean and a simple approach to live life.
With the sun salutation, devotees worship for prosperity and happiness for their family and for humanity as a whole.
So let us celebrate all the festivals with great fervour and spread happiness and smiles all around.
Let us wish and pray for everyone's safety, success and prosperity for the years ahead too to come with these auspicious occasions of celebrations.

Temple Of The Soul

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.

Our human body is made up of various elements. All the elements govern us to act, behave and think everyday.
Our outer self is moved by the powerful forces of nature.
Our inner self which is the purest form acts like a governing body.
Our soul directs us to conduct ourselves. Our soul helps us in performing mechanisms of our body.
We sometimes witness that though externally we seem to be happy but our soul can still not attain Internal bliss.
Our body mechanisms may not be functioning properly and therefore we are not able to achieve cosmic bliss.

There are times when the temple of our soul is elated and joyous to reach the highest stage of joy and bliss.
It is because the elements which we as a human body are made up of along with the governing body are both enjoying and thinking on the same line.
Both internally and externally, we are involved wholeheartedly.
We enjoy like the way water flows in a river.
Purity and bliss of the soul takes us to the higher level of achieving the ultimate enjoyment.
So let us enlighten our inner souls to achieve the ultimate bliss.
With purity of the soul and a true thinking, we can achieve both Internal and external happiness.

Zoological Park

The life of caged animals seems so easy. With regular food and care the animals are secure in a confined atmosphere.
But surely such animals or birds miss freedom.

The birds cannot spread their wings. The animals cannot raise their voice. But still the life of birds and animals in a zoo is carefree.
They get all the attention and appreciation from the onlookers. Seeing various animals and birds of different species children also get beautiful smiles on their faces.

They feel so excited to see and witness the wildlife live and so near to them.
Birds and animals from far off lands with unique mannnerisms are just so attractive.
As grown-ups we too feel sensitive towards their tough lifestyles. No words but lots of expressions and lessons are to be learnt from the animal kingdom.
If we observe this amazing animal kingdom minutely it surely teaches us the value of freedom.

Real freedom in fact never comes free. Therefore let us value our freedom and grow with every new experience of life.
Life is a continuous process. Any living being can teach us lessons of life.
Deep understanding and observations of the animal kingdom also makes us more humane and sensitive towards the animal world, their needs and requirements.

A visit to the zoo is a beautiful and a memorable life experience. It is a real treat to enjoy a one day life in the interesting animal world.

The Wonderful World Of Books

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.

(All the photographs in this blog have been taken by me and are from my personal collection)

A book is a man's best friend. The world of book is so majestic and vast that if we enter this world, there is no exit from it.
We would definitely wish to explore more word power. May be our need to know more shall even grow with time.
The need to acquire more knowledge. It is the best need a person can desire for. At every age and stage of our human life, we are evolving.
Reading books on different topics helps us in our evolving process.
Our mind functions  more stronger than before.

Reading habit can be like a hobby or a passionate approach to know different things in various fields.
As an adult,  inculcating a good reading habit in our children is also the best gift we can give  them.
To enjoy the world of books itself is such a pleasurable and a joyful experience.
Books involve us in such a manner that without physical detachment from the world we get a mental and emotional time of our own.
A reading interest in our history or the contemporary world, facts or figures, fiction or novels, autobiographies or live experiences, the list is endless.

Reading habit gives us a purpose of living. Our mind concentration increases which does not give us even a single second to waste in our lives.
We have just one life to gain knowledge and read the best sellers of our world.
So let us inculcate a good reading habit in our children from their early young age and also explore this beautiful world of books ourselves.

Outdoor activities

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.

A child's brain is very fertile and inquisitive. It immediately grabs knowledge shared by everyone around.
Infact children are very inquisitive all the time to know all things and happenings going on around them.
They need answers to the questions which cross their mind. For their physical growth, they need a strong push from their parents.
The involvement of parents in the outdoor activities of their children helps them understand the importance of health and physical development.
For growing children, only some few years are the fertile years for a good physical development.
With parents guidance, counselling and support, children learn things faster.
In the outdoor atmosphere children become sensitive towards nature too.
They basically get a good practical experience to lead and live this life.
Involving children in outdoor activities helps them realise the worth and value of our physical force.
They learn outdoors so much which they otherwise can never learn in a confined atmosphere.
Giving personal attention and time also helps to establish a close and a strong bond between parents and children.
Children are the future of any nation who need to be nurtured with all love, support, understanding and motivation.
They need to be sensitised to several issues related to their own physical and mental growth.
Nature too teaches many facts and truths of life. So let your children breathe in nature to understand the value and worth of every breath we take.

Spiritual Bliss

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.
With experience a person learns and grows. The best part of learning and growth is knowing oneself deeply.
As we start growing old our inclination moves from the material world to the spiritual world.
We search for answers to the questions which were unanswered.
The questions of the cosmic world.
Our quest for understanding things starts growing.
We want to have an in-depth knowledge of the existence of the Super natural power.
A power which our human body too generates.

An in-depth study of the connection between the mind, the body and the soul.
A spiritual inclination towards gaining of knowledge of life and cosmos.
Knowledge which we can surely share and impart to our younger generation.
Life is all about sharing experiences. In fact spiritual sharing is the best form of sharing.
It shall have only a positive impact on our thought process.
Spiritual knowledge is the path to attainment of Spiritual bliss.

Life Is Scripted

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.

We are players in the game played by The Almighty The Super Power.
The instructions are given by Him. The rule book is also set by Him. We just have to follow His instructions.
The players who breaks any rule is out of the game. A player who is in the good books of The Super Power is given extra advantage over others.
The Super Powerful director says action and the actors start showing their acting skills.
The better actor get the applauses and praises from the director.
We at times feel that we are doing the things or at other times feel that the things are happening on their own.
On a deeper analysis we conclude that we are just the medium to fullfil and do certain things in our life.

Our identity as a human being is so small in this large universe.
We start realising that we are under a constant watch by some Super Power force.
With one wrong move we are out and have lost. Everyday our script is handed over to us with our dialogues and actions to be performed.
We just have to become a better actor by showing our growth and maturity with intensity.
We have to play this game of life very seriously by understanding the real rules of the game.
Life too is like a reality show which is scripted before hand but still seems so real as if we are playing the way we wish to.
