The Status of Women in India

Blog by-Dr Jaya Kumar.

(THE SUBJECT OF THIS BLOG WAS DESIRED BY ONE OF MY YOUNG READERS. SHE WANTED MY VIEWS AND OPINIONS ON THIS. IT IS HIGHLY APPRECIABLE THAT YOUNG PEOPLE ARE COMING FORWARD TO DISCUSS TOPICS OF SOCIAL RELEVANCE).

A woman is a creator of the society and the most responsible person to nurture the whole civilisation.
Women have a multi-faceted side to their personalities. Both professionally and personally, women fullfil all their responsibilities and duties wholeheartedly.
On the personal front, she takes care of all the house hold chores and also manages the budget of the house very well.
While on the professional front, she proves her sincerity and dedicatedly performs the duties assigned to her.
Women posses a beautiful persona. A graceful aura which ignites their personalities.
The status of women in India has to be looked upon in different contexts and dimensions.
Though the figures and the statistical data presents a poor picture in the general status of women in India in various fields, but if we look at the positive side, women are coming forward and moving towards upliftment in status.
The general perception of the society is also changing where women are being respected and valued more than ever.
Many women are bringing laurels to the nation and making everyone proud of them.
Politically too, women participation is increasing at all levels.
But on the whole, if we look at the current situations and scenario, we shall definitely feel that women deserve much more respect, care and affection.
Sometimes women of the house work like a silent force. Their silence should not be misunderstood or ignored and surely has to be valued more than generally done.
A family, a society, a nation or the world as a whole can progress and prosperous only if the women are considered at par with their male counterparts.
The strength of women is stronger than a storm. The smile of women enlighten our homes.
The selfless sacrifices of women at various stages should not go wasted and has to be well recognized and respected at all times.
